I understand the headset mic is a bit of a different device, but if a probably $30 device can do it, why does it seem like the ones I've bought cannot? Now, I understand line in is different than a mono mic input, and that neither device I've bought has been $30, but it just seems like there isn't a device that is that price point that can do what I want. My HyperX Cloud S's have no static on the mic pulled into my system through the included USB dongle. I still hate the slight bit of noise, and a weird other noise that goes away if I touch the ends of the cable, and C. I don't want to pay, I'd prefer just one device that works. You might ask - why not just get a ground loop remover, well, A. A second usb audio interface that I just got today after doing more research - better, but picked up what I assume is a "ground loop" of a pulsing buzz, also features just the littlest bit of noise that is still present, might be ignorable, but I'll get to that. One usb audio interface - bought off amazon, had a terrible persistent tone on mic and line in inputs - returned.Earbuds underneath headset - too uncomfortable, makes it more difficult to hear friends. Not ground loop noise, but just general noise. TV to line - as previously stated, the line-in port unfortunately has a layer of noise.Switch to line-in - This prevents the capture card from hearing the device (and the line in has noise.).So, with that pretext out of the way, let's get to what hasn't worked: I came to the idea, why not just use the TV's headset port to listen through my computer's line-in? That would be extremely minimal if any lag, and I could route it through my pre-existing voicemeeter setup. I also sometimes stream the game through a cheap capture card. During this, my friends can hear the game when I talk and just sometimes it is picked up. The switch comes through the TV output, and I have a headset on for voice communication. I sometimes play switch whilst I am talking to my friends on the computer. Wasn't sure whether to post this here or Etc, but here goes.
